From Hot Springs, AR, we drove to Nacogdoches, TX. There's a deal (one time small fee) at a local RV park and adjacent golf course when you stay a week you may play as much golf (cart included) as your back will allow. We only had to play 2 1/2 rounds to make it worth the price, so it seemed like a good deal. The rain kept us off the course an entire day, but other than that, we played at least nine holes each day and enjoyed the green outdoors. The RV park was just off the 14th tee box so rather than walk the mile to the clubhouse with our clubs, we would play/walk holes 14-18, then get the cart and ride 1 - 13. At the end of thirteen, we would drop our clubs off at the trailer, return the cart to the clubhouse and walk the mile back home. It worked out well, but there were times Susan wished we had a car to transport the clubs.
While in Nacogdoches, we did a little sight-seeing, but not much. One place Josh and Jennifer recommended was Butcher Boys hamburgers. They were great and the bacon cheese fries were the perfect compliment to the meal. We also tried Clear Springs Restaurant. Another good pick from Josh and Jenn.
When not golfing, we worked at home. It was a very relaxing week and we were able to get some productive work in too.
We just might have to try this again!
